Thinking Aloud

with one comment

It has been a long while since Ive doodled/sketched/painted.

Today I took Andys route home (from Orange County to Studio City). Instead of the 73N405N101S (~1.5-2hrs.), I took 73N405N605N91W710NValley Rd.S. Fremont Rd.134W. Yes, it was faster. But I shall try to alter it to find a way to not end up in Pasadena.

Oh, traffic. Today I took Andy's route home (from Orange County to Studio City). Instead of the 73N>405N>101S (~1.5-2hrs.), I took 73N>405N>605N>91W>710N>Valley Rd.>S. Fremont Rd.>134W (~1 hour, 10 min.). Yes, it was faster. But I shall try to alter it to find a way to not end up in Pasadena.

Razor Blonde

That beautiful photo above is of Ryan May and Betsy Berger, following the wedding of the young couple that took place in Canada. Ryan, by the way, works for Lifeyo.com. Betsy is a college graduate who now spends her time with her new husband in Orange County while also working on the Ben Fong-Torres documentary.

I had to not only share this photo on my blog (talk about capturing a moment!), but also wanted to share Betsy’s new blog (made with Lifeyo), RazorBlonde!

Check out RazorBlonde.com, all about fashion with an edge!

Ho Sum Bistro, Newport Beach

Although a skinny, lengthy building on Newport Blvd, the location isn’t hard to miss with it’s large neon blue sign. The place features Asian flavored dishes, salads, soups, and dim sum, I just placed a lunch order to go: the salad/rice lunch special and coconut shrimp dim sum. The place is packed with people eating lunch and ordering to go orders, a very good sign. Although this first floor is small and crowded, food looks promising and I can’t wait to eat!

Update:

The meal overall was delicious. The coconut-fried shrimp was delicious with its sweet yellow sauce. I’m not sure why the salad was incredibly overpacked and overflowing in the plastic container, but it was delicious, though I couldn’t finish it. Rice was fine. Good stuff- just wish there were more dim sum dishes, especially of seafood or veggie based.
