Bill Clinton Makes A Visit to Pyongyang, North Korea

On June 4th, U.S. journalists, Laura Ling and Euna Lee of Current TV, were sentenced to 12 years of hard labor camp. North Korea has since delayed their admittance into the camp, announcing that they request a formal apology from the U.S. Many have spoken on behalf of the girls, including Laura and Euna’s families, Hillary Clinton, and other government officials, apologizing profusely. But for the first time, former President, Bill Clinton, made a trip to North Korea in hopes to separate the issues at hand: the U.S. and U.N.’s criticism of North Korea’s weapon tactics and the arrest of Laura Ling and Euna Lee. This is the best news we have heard yet since the girls were arrested in April. I only have high hopes from here on.
